Accoladi Recruiter Code of Ethics

This is the Code of Conduct for your review.

When you register with Accoladi Recruiter as a recruiter—with full search and messaging capabilities—you’ll be prompted to review and sign the Code of Conduct as part of the registration process through DocuSign.

Acknowledgment

I, (name of recruiter), representing (name of institution), fully acknowledge that by subscribing to Accoladi Recruiter I am acting as an official representative of the stated institution and not for personal or private business interests. I affirm that all actions taken on this platform will be consistent with the mission, policies, and standards of my institution and in compliance with the ethical guidelines set forth by Accoladi.

I further acknowledge that my subscription is a privilege, not a right, and may be reviewed or revoked if I fail to uphold this Code of Ethics.

Code of Ethics

1. Professional Conduct

  • Recruiters shall conduct themselves with honesty, integrity, and respect in all communications with students, parents, and institutions.
  • Inappropriate, offensive, or unprofessional language or behavior is strictly prohibited.

2. Purposeful Communication

  • Recruiters may contact students only for legitimate recruiting purposes related to collegiate admissions, auditions, scholarships, master classes, or summer enrichment opportunities.
  • Recruiters may not use Accoladi to advertise or solicit private business interests, including private lessons, coaching services, or consulting for a fee.

3. Transparency in Opportunities

  • Recruiters shall not make promises or guarantees of specific scholarship amounts, admission outcomes, or audition results.
  • All information shared with students must accurately reflect institutional policies and opportunities.

4. Financial Integrity

  • Recruiters may not request or accept money, gifts, or personal compensation from students or families for any service related to recruiting, auditions, or admissions.

5. Student Safety and Boundaries

  • Recruiters may not arrange private, one-on-one meetings with students outside of institutional or Accoladi-approved settings.
  • A parent or guardian must be present at any meeting with a student who has not yet graduated high school, even if the student has turned 18.
  • All communication must remain professional, with clear boundaries maintained at all times.

6. Ethical Use of the Platform

  • Recruiters must not share their subscription access with unauthorized individuals.
  • Student data (including academic records, repertoire, video auditions, honors, awards, and references) is confidential and may only be used for recruiting purposes.
  • Information obtained through Accoladi must never be used for personal, commercial, or unrelated institutional gain.

7. Respect for Process

  • Recruiters must respect the audition, scholarship, and admission procedures of all institutions.
  • Poaching students who have already made a formal commitment to another institution is prohibited.

8. Accountability

  • Recruiters must keep their profiles accurate and up to date. If institutional email addresses change, Accoladi will verify the update directly.
  • Subscriptions may be revoked for violations of this Code, including but not limited to inappropriate communication, unethical conduct, or unfulfilled promises of opportunity.
  • If Accoladi suspects or is informed of illegal activity, the matter will be referred to the appropriate authorities.

By signing below, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to abide by the Accoladi Recruiter Code of Ethics. I understand that failure to comply may result in suspension or permanent revocation of my subscription.
